The Shetland Sheepdog, otherwise called the Sheltie, is a type of grouping hound that began in the Shetland Islands, Scotland. The first name of this breed was Shetland Collie, yet when this caused debate among the Rough Collie reproducers of the time, the breed's name was formally changed to Shetland Sheepdog. This dedicated little puppy is keen, vocal, volatile and willing to please. They are staggeringly faithful to their proprietors and are frequently alluded to as "shadows" because of their connection to family. The breed was formally perceived by The Kennel Club in 1909.
